Animal Rights Advocates and Vegans: 10 Movies For To Look Forward To!

Looking forward there are many films on their way to us the audience. Some of the ones I mention in this post are almost finished while others need a little more time before we can watch them. I've marked the films with numbers, but there is no particular order.

1. Born To Be Free

Let's begin with Born To Be Free which is about the treatment of captured beluga whales in Russia. These whales were to be exported to USA, but after an American ban the beluga whales remained in small pools in Russia. The filmmakers attempt to find the whales and expose how they are being treated.

3. The End Of Meat

From the German director Marc Pierschel - who also directed Live And Let Live - and Jeff Wirth from USA, a thought-provoking The End Of Meat emerges. The film explores the idea of a post-meat world. A world when we don't eat meat anymore, in other words. The film was planned to have its world premiere in autumn 2016, but as you can guess the premiere will be later. Maybe in early or mid 2017? There is no trailer to be found, yet. But I'm adding the Indiegogo campaign video below and it is also interesting 😊

4. Sharkwater: Extinction

Sharkwater: Extinction is a film by Rob Stewart, who is also the filmmaker behind the films Sharkwater and Revolution. Rob Stewart is very dedicated to help save the sharks. And sharks are under threat because of the demand for shark fins as they are used for soup. 😞

5. Eating You Alive

The connection between our health and what we eat is something that's getting more and more attention in documentaries and in other media. Eating You Alive also focus on this issue and seems to think plant-based food is a way to get more healthy 😊 And Eating You Alive is actually already screening 😃 so check out its website for more information!

6. Meat The Future

8. What The Health

The guys who made Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret are working on this film. According to themselves it's the one that health organizations don't want you to see 😉 On its Indiegogo site it's being described as a mix between Forks Over Knives and Cowspiracy, on steroids! So this is a documentary to be looking forward to!

AND the last two movies on this list, Beings and Dominion, will take a bit longer before they are done.

9. Beings

This is the third part of the Earthlings trilogy and therefore also the last part. Shaun Monson, the maker of these Nation Earth-movies, have really made an impact with part one Earthlings, and part two Unity. When the previous two movies have been about animals and humans the third will focus on nature! But we will have to wait for a while, since it takes time to make these kind of epic movies. Beings is planned to be finished during the year 2020.

10. Dominion

A sequel to Lucent, a documentary from the Australian pig farms, from 2014. In Dominion the filmmakers are going for a much broader range. Including numerous ways that animals are being exploited in Australia. But we will have to wait for a while until early 2018 to be more exact 😉
